Older Oak Hill houses need a deeper clean

Much of Oak Hill was built as ranch houses in the middle of the last century, set back on big lots under hardwood trees. They are solid houses. They also hold things a newer build does not. Original hardwood floors have gaps between the boards where dust packs in. Bathroom grout has gone dark, and built-in shelves have gathered dust for decades. A quick wipe-down gets the counters. Tree pollen gets into Oak Hill homes

Oak Hill is heavily wooded, and in spring a yellow film of pollen covers every porch and car on the street. It gets tracked across the floors and settles into rugs and upholstered chairs.
