Franklin has old homes and new subdivisions

Franklin has a wide mix of houses. Near downtown and Main Street, many homes go back well over a century. They have original wood floors, plaster walls, tall windows and a lot of painted trim. Farther out are the big subdivisions, places like Fieldstone Farms and Westhaven, where the houses are newer and larger, with open floor plans. Franklin weather is hard on your car

Every spring, the trees around Franklin drop a heavy coat of yellow pollen on any car parked outside. It looks like dust, but a spring shower turns it into a sticky film that dries in streaks.
